American professional baseball utility player joins Los Angeles Dodgers

Cavan Thomas Biggio, born April 11, 1995, is an American professional baseball utility player who has joined the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers acquired Biggio from the Toronto Blue Jays after the club designated the 29-year-old utility. He is the son of seven-time All-Star, four-time Gold Glove Award winner, and Hall of Famer Craig Biggio.

Biggio has played in the Major Leagues since 2019, primarily as a second baseman and outfielder. He has a career batting average of .234 with 29 home runs and 105 RBIs.

The Dodgers are hoping that Biggio can provide them with some depth and versatility. He is expected to play a variety of roles off the bench, including second base, third base, and the outfield.

The Dodgers are currently in first place in the National League West with a record of 26-13. They are hoping that Biggio can help them stay in contention for the playoffs.
